Production diary

Planning
At the start of the production we planned it so that we would split up the story into 3 sections so each member of the group had their own part to do. Luis had the first part, Ed had the second part and i had the final scenes. We all did our own part of the story board, 4-5 pages each. Once we had done the storyboard we all did parts of the pre-production. We got the location recce and releases for each of the locations early on when we found out where we would be filming.

Filming
It took us a bit longer to film than we would have liked. This is due to us not having a set location to film but there were some shots that we could do and that was the corridor scene in Great Yarmouth. we filmed there for two days, after the first day we found that our shots where too dark and blurry so on the second day we changed the IOS which gave us much better quality shots, we managed to get the whole of that scene done in the two hours of the second day.

We then went to the location where we filmed the torture and escape scene. The filming of this went smoothly. We had to film at 7 o clock in the evening and didn't finish till 11 pm. We got all of the shots we needed, with plenty of spear shots as well.

The final location we filmed at was in Winterton where we filmed all of the outside scenes and the inside of the house. Due to one of the characters going on holiday on the Monday we only had the the Friday and the weekend before that to film all of the scenes with the creepy man in. During the week after that we got all of the other scenes inside and outside the house without the creepy man. Due to not being able to get to Winterton on the weekend Ed had to film a couple of the beginning street himself as the deadline for filming was approaching, and we needed to get them done as quick as we could.

Editing
Editing for our group was very easy as we had certain days between shooting where we could edit, so we was able to edit all throughout the time we was filming. By time we had got the last bit of filming done we had over half of the 10 minute short edited without music. All throughout the editing process every member of our group did their part of editing as it was important as every member had their part done to how they liked but with the clarification of the other members. But due to the late start of filming we where very close to the deadline, and trying to find the best music to go on the short film was hard as we had different scenes that needed certain soundtracks.
